Welcome to MOPS 2015!

We are looking forward to a new year of MOPS!  Our first meeting is Friday, September 18th.  There will be new friends to meet, a fun craft to make and of course, lots of food!! This year's theme is "A Fierce Flourishing"! Taken from Isaiah 55:12 -
For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

If you're new to MOPS here's some basic info on how it works.  We meet the first and third Fridays of every month from 9:45-11:45 am.  Childcare is provided for your little ones with lots of toys to play with and great childcare workers to take care of them.  This first meeting the food will be provided, but otherwise we alternate between what tables bring food, so sign ups will go around for that at each meeting.  Our agenda usually alternates between a speaker and a craft.  And you will be assigned a table where you'll get to know a special group of ladies. It is a closed group, that adds a level of privacy in hopes that we can increase communication, encouragement, advice, and love. To increase that privacy, we have it set up so everyone must request to join the group. We would love for all our MOPS @ CCC mamas to join the group when you get the chance.

Small Business Basics

If you have questions about setting up or growing a small business, we have a resource for you!  Fred (Mentor Mom Sue's dad) is a retired CPA and former business owner who volunteers his time with the Small Business Administration in Fort Collins, mentoring small business owners and helping them build viable business plans.  He has offered to meet with any MOPS Moms who would like help exploring or nurturing a small business. 

• "Business Basics" Group Session, Thursday morning January 29, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.  Location:  Sue's living room.  Please find a sitter for your children so you can really listen!  Newborns and sleeping babies are welcome.  Must RSVP to Sue at: dwhitnah@msn.com.

• Additional Individual Consultations (90 minutes)  with Fred are available Thursday afternoon (1/29), Thursday evening (1/29), and Friday morning (1/30).  These sessions are invaluable for individual advice, whether you have specific questions about your existing business, want to talk with someone about a business idea, or need help building an actual business plan.  Please attend group session first if you are new to small businesses. (Remember, this is free!  He LOVES doing this, and has a wealth of experience to share!)  Must schedule with Sue by Monday noon, January 26.  Location:  Sue's kitchen table.  Email Sue at dwhitnah@msn.com.
