October MOPS Speaker - Jon Holsten

On October 1st, our MOPS group will be hosting speaker, Jon Holsten, veteran polic sergeant with the Fort Collins Police Department.  Jon will be speaking to our group about a very delicate, but important topic - protecting our children from sexual predators, based on his book, "The Swimsuit Lesson".

Jon Holsten is a 15 year veteran police sergeant with the Fort Collins Police Department. As a patrol officer and detective in his agency’s Crimes Against Persons Unit, Jon has helped investigate and prosecute dozens of child sexual assault cases.

Jon is the author of the internationally acclaimed children’s book entitled "The Swimsuit Lesson" -- a resource for parents determined to protect their children from sexual predators.  Both have been featured by local and national media -- including ABC’s Good Morning America. He has also written on the same topic for several national publications.

Jon and his wife, Ceri (Sear-ee) have six children and make their home near Fort Collins.
